Artificial Intelligence is on the lips of every technology company right now, with the technology central to many organisations’ long-term strategies. For Google, AI has been core to the development of all the machine learning techniques embedded in its products across the board.
The importance of AI is so high for Google that it has rebranded its entire research division; welcome, Google AI.
This news follows a recent reshuffle which saw John Giannandrea step from his role as Head of Search and AI. The role was split with Ben Gomes now leading the Search Development team, and Jeff Dean looking after the AI unit.
