Coolgen Developer (VAC181) (Contract) Our client who is based in Australia is looking for an experienced CoolGen Developer to join their team on a six months basis. So if you are Gen/Cool:Gen Mainframe Specialist who is looking for a new exciting challenge please read on! As a successful candidate you will be responsible for analysis, design and programming of large systems using Advantage:Gen/Cool:Gen in a CICS/DB2 mainframe environment. Experience: • Advantage:Gen/Cool:Gen (including experience with native COBOL) • Component based development • AccessGEN (tool bought for looking at Coolgen without having to go to the encyclopaedia) • JCL and batch programming • DB2 and SQL performance tuning • Enterprise Architect (desirable) • Model management and Troubleshooting • Maintenance of ISPF panels • CICS Maintenance and Programming • Microsoft Office Mandatory skills: • Well developed communication skills, including: • Read, comprehend and write technical material effectively • Negotiation and liaison skills • Ability to communicate with staff from technical and non-technical backgrounds • Presentation skills • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a team member, mentor and individual • Ability to work to tight timeframes So If you are interested in discussing this role further and you have all of the required skills please email us with your CV without a delay!
