Test Manager/Tester (VAC151) (Contract) An exciting opportunity has arisen with our Client who is based in Australia for a Test Manager/Tester to join their Software Testing and Q&A team on a 6-12 months basis. Work would involve the use of leading edge technology to deliver practical and innovative solutions that support the Client’s business activities. Projects are challenging and involve the development and support of Web based systems. Strong technical aptitude, competence and the ability to provide high quality services, is essential. Our Client’s information technology environment is based on Microsoft products including Visual Studio .Net 2008, C#, SQL Server 2008, SharePoint Portal Server, Office 2003 and Exchange. Tasks Include: • Develop testing plans, test cases and test data to test new and amended software • Identify data requirements to satisfy test cases and create, manipulate and maintain test data • Interpret, execute and document complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards, covering systems functional, useability, security and limited volume/performance testing • Report progress and issues associated with systems testing to the testing manager • Contribute to the development of all necessary technical documentation Personal Profile: Essential • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in executing testing strategies for large scale IT projects involving multiple stakeholders • Extensive experience in developing and executing test plans, cases and data for Web based information systems including Intranet, Internet and Web services applications • Knowledge of Microsoft’s .NET systems development environment, including experience in writing Microsoft SQL queries for data analysis purposes • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, both individually and as a team member • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation • Highly developed written and oral communication skills Desirable • Experience in using testing tools like Quality Centre • Experience in testing systems developed and implemented using the Agile/scrum methodology in a TFS (Team Foundation Server) environment If you are up for the challenge and have all of the required skills please apply without a delay!
