Systems/Solutions Architect (VAC133) (Contract)![]() Location: Australia - Canberra Salary: Negotiable Duration: 2 months (extension possible) Our client is establishing a joint business and IT Taskforce to determine future options to deliver IT support for early childhood education. A solutions architect is required to join the Taskforce: 1. Convert high level business requirements into a high level technical design 2. Identify and communicate any technical risks or opportunities that may impact the IT system 3. Ensure the technical architecture conforms to Australian Government and W3C standards 4. Provide sound technical advice 5. Contribute to the development of all necessary technical and business documentation. Skills: 1. Minimum 3 years successful experience in architecting new IT projects 2. The ability to share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources 3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies 4. Experience with Service Orientated Architecture, architectural patterns and design patterns 5. Proven success at working in complex environments with many and varied stakeholders 6. Proven success at working with relevant IT stakeholders to negotiate and agree satisfactory solutions to business requirements 7. Demonstrable experience on large and complex projects 8.
