Analyst Programmer (VAC131) (Contract) Location: Australia (Canberra) Salary: Negotiable Duration: 3 month with possible extension Our Australian Government client is looking for an experienced Analyst Programmer to work in a team responsible for the development and implementation of the Department’s Intranet using SharePoint 2007. The role will include working as part of a small team developing custom components and utilities for the Intranet using SharePoint 2007. In addition, analysis, design, programming and configuration work as well as providing sound technical advice and contributing to the development of technical documentation will be required. Mandatory skills include: • Experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 • Proven ability in object-oriented design and development of n-tier web applications using Microsft C#, ASP, .Net, SQL Server 2008, ADO.Net, HTML, Javascript, XML/XSL and Visual SourceSafe • Knowledge of Windows Server Active Director and its interface with other applications • Ability to rapidly understand new applications, software frameworks and business/IT processes • Ability to produce technical documentation for internal use by the developers The successful candidate will also have well developed communication and time management skills and especially the ability to manage conflicting priorities. A willingness to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines individually or as a team member is also vital.
