Vanessa is a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer with extensive financial experience across a range of industry sectors, built up over 20 years.

Following a degree in Mathematics from Birmingham University, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young working initially as a Company Accountant within the Laird Group and then as a Group Internal Auditor with Bass before moving into Corporate Treasury. She spent eight years in various treasury roles with companies including major financial software supplier, ACT plc (now part of Misys plc) and finally as Treasury Manager for Sunrise Medical Inc, gaining extensive experience of handling international finance.

After a period of providing financial management support to the Education sector, Vanessa joined Jumar in 2006 to head up its finance function where she is responsible for controlling Jumar's finances and setting its corporate governance standards.

She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
